At least the feds I lift in actually follow the rules they have set down. Parellel is defined in every rule book as the bend of the hip being below the top of the knee. Not an arbitrary depth inches below what is stated in the rules.

Same thing as in the bench, all rules say "motionless" nothing about an arbitrary pause of "X" seconds.

And the guy I know who out benches his dead, does deadlift over 700 pounds. Go figure, he just benches in the 800's. And all he really does is speed pulls twice a month, I think it is working for him to train his bench more.
