I like to train raw for one week, and then use gear for one week for a 6 to 18 week training cycle. I use percentages of my goal weight for the meet that range from 40% to 70% on the raw weeks, and 55% to 85% on the assisted weeks. I usually only use knee wraps on weights over 85%, but use Valeo knee sleeves, and a suit with the straps down on weights below 85%. Use a shirt that is one size above your competition fit on the bench workouts. Good Luck!
