Sven, that's one thing that's neat about lifitng- you get to experiment and find what works best for you... here is a routine I have used and its a good basic template...

Monday: squats

Tues or Wed.: Bench and tri's (you can add some overhead stuff if you want)

Friday: deadlifts, bentover rows, curls ( you can do some lat pulldowns or chin-ups if you want.

I started light to concentrate on form then went to a 5x5 workout with most of the compound lifts and the other things I'd change up periodically.

so that is one day for legs, one day for pushes and one day for pulls.
Since you;re focussing on strength you dont want to kill your self with assistance stuff.

currently I do the following:

DAY ONE: Squats

DAY TWO: Bench, Tri's

DAY THREE: Deadlifts, Bentover Rows

DAY FOUR: Lat pull downs, overhead press, dips, curls

Day four is lighter and just adds some misc pulls and pushes--

*All these days aren't done in a row--
usually it's monday a.m., tuesday p.m. friday p.m. and sunday afternoon

this is just a little food for thought.
