Most powerlifters use a modified type of GM. I know what your talking about, straight legs, and only bend at the hips. Most video's I have seen show I have seen of powerlifters show getting a little bit of knee bend. This is how I do mine, a little knee bend to help me support the heavier weights I want to use. I think of a powerlifting GM as something totally different then a bodybuilding type of GM. Just like in the bench press for a powerlifter, it is more important that the weight moves then it is that your pecs get a good pump the way a bodybuilder wants to.
