Q. about Power Cleans.

I want to add power cleans to my workout, but have never done them. I've seen pictures and read articles, which explain the lift in step-by-step detail, but I have a question.

1. Is the lift performed in parts with pauses, or is it a more 'fluid' lift?

i.e the 1st part is just like a dead lift. When I've come to standing erect, is there a slight pause, or as I come to the full-standing position, do I keep the bar moving so there is no pause?? I could see the tendence would be to want to really thrust out with your hips and use momentem to keep the bar moving up, but I could also see that without proper strict form, injury could occur pretty easily.

2. The 2nd part is like an upright-row, and then at the top, I switch my grip and elbow position. Once again, is there a slight pause? Is there something I should keep in minds so as to not put undo pressure on my wrists?

Comments on the questions and overall form would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, and what percentage of my deadlift should I be trying for this lift?
