Jim:
No problem...I always remember how specific we had to be in the Met Association, when Rudy Sablo was holding clinics and at competitions. If you dared mention a 'rule change', Rudy would have a fit! He would explain, in a way that only he could, that "...it is an amendment to the existing regulation, NOT a rule change!". Then he would launch into a comlete in-depth explanation of how rules are changed and how they are merely amended. You learned not to ask questions unless you already knew the answer!
One of my friends was competing in a minor meet, about 1970 and made the mistake of asking Rudy "How much knee kick is going to be allowed?", ( He meant to ask how lenient the judges were going to be but worded it wrong.). Well, Rudy had a fit! I recall hearing him yell at my hapless friend, "There is NO kneekick permitted in this association, there will NEVER be any knee kick permitted in this association, etc, etc!" I was about twenty feet away and was deafened by his reply. He was a stickler for precision and didn't tolerate any deviation from the rule book, no matter how slight. A great man, but somewhat over the top at times.
