Thank you for sharing this with all of us Don! It is a shame that in a sport as small as weightlifting in this country that the publicity is so minimized and when an opportunity like this comes up, everyone who has ever hoisted a barbell overhead should be celebrating! I have made sure to share this with many of the families with whom I work as Melanie is an inspiration on many levels. Her ability to raise a family with one of her children diagnosed with autism and perform at this level is a testimony of her faith.
