Really Cheap Rubber Mats for So Cal people

Hi all, I am building a garage gym, including building an 8'x8' o-lifting platform. Anyways, in the course of trying to price mats, I found that about the cheapest I could get 4'x6'x3/8" mats through a feed supply store was in the $50-60 range. And of course, I would have to cut it myself and no one sold mats that were 8' long, which meant I would have to get more mats than I needed to get the job done.

I started poking around craig's list for used gym equipment and came across an ad for a guy selling 4'x6'x3/8" mats for only $20 a mat. And he said he said he could cut them to the length you wanted. So I called the guy, went out and it turns out he gets rolls of mats directly from the factory. So, I bought three 4'x8''x3/8" mats, one of which he cut down the middle for me so I have two 2'x8' strips for my platform (the other two 4'x8' mats are for another 8x8 space I am building that my power rack, bench, plates holders, kettlebells, etc. will go on) and a 4'x6' mat (that my Glute Ham Developer will sit on). Total price for 4'x30'x3/8" of rubber mats (cut for me) was $100!!!

Also, if any of you SoCal people are interested in buying used 45 lb. plates or factory refurbished powerlifting bars from Ivanko, I was able to meet (via Craig's list again) the son of the owners of Ivanko and get a refurbished competition bar that normally sells for $700 for only $300. I know they have one or two of those left. Also, he sold me used 45 lb. plates for only $9/plate ($0.20/lb.). I bought 12 of them. They had 79 used plates left as of yesterday.

Anyway if you guys are interested, I can give you the contact numbers for both the guy who sells rubber mats so damned cheap and the son of the owners of Ivanko. I would post them here, but I don't like to post people's private contact information publicly without them knowing it.

And no, I don't make a dime off of the sales of either the rubber mats or the Ivanko equipment.
