Don, May I also add that the tape also helps protect the flesh on the inside of the thumbs from ripping open from the pressure the thumbs are taking from pulling.
A lifter does not want to rap the thumbs with to much tale as this will cut on the ability to wrap your fingers around your thumb to have a solid firm grip.
Just a few other thoughts.
Take care Don and hope you haven't had to go in the Box much lately.
