I once met Al Lewis, 'Grandpa' from "The Munsters"!

I served him when I was working during college as a waiter at the Rusty Pelican. He was very pale - he looked just like he did in his character makeup on "The Munsters". Also, he seemed very shy and quiet. This contradicted his tendency to rant and rave and swear when he was a Green Party political candidate against George Pataki, and in media appearances such as on the Howard Stern Show.

He was also a basketball talent scout who well known to coaches like Jerry Tarkanian and Red Auerbach.

Oh - and my brother went to law school with 'Marylin Munster's' (Pat Priest's) son!
