In Response To: Re: Any weightlifters use chiropractic? (Drew Cobb)

My daughter Amanda who is a weightlifter has been going to a Chiro at least once a week since getting back into weightlifting last December after almost 2 years off. He also works with her stretching (hip flexors, lower back and Hams) and "working out the knots".
At the collegiates during her first attempt in the C&J (68k-she made it) she tweaked something and was in pain (upper back/rib-an on going prob) she immediately went to the trainer he adjusted her, about 3 mins later she made her 2nd attempt of 72k, she then followed that up with 75k(a PR). She finished pain free and 6 for 6 with 3 new PRs (Sn, C&J and TOTAL). All possible because she had good Chiros working with her.
I think her popping her rib out may be a technique flaw in the jerk that we just havent caught yet.

BTW a week later at a meet she got a 70k sn/76k c&j (she went for 80 and missed it) and a new total of 146k.
Thanks again to Coach B and her Chiros.
