I had two laminectomies when I was 27 and 29. The second one removed a very painful bulging disk. I am 46 now and have recently lifted 162 kg at a meet. As lond as I keep the arch in my back, my back is fine. I had several shots in the early 90's before the second surgery. As I recall, they didn't help much.
