From being in that room, I believe that 75% is an underestimate of the number against the current Administration. And you're right that is an estimate. BUT, a majority of the BOG members VOTE against this BOD. No we didn't have full elections. The USOC sufficiently scared (blackmailed) the BOG into believing that an election would lead to de-funding and de-certification of our NGB.

Even without full elections, we did take 2 votes, that both passed by a wide margin (but to make you happy, I'll round down to 50% + 1), that I were proof that the BOG was against the current BOD making any further decisions:

1. We voted NOT to have the BOD pick one of the members of the Committee that is putting together the new Bylaws. The USOC and I'm sure the BOD had wanted the BOD to have their own pick.

2. We filled the 2 vacant BOD slots which this BOD refused to do. As a matter of fact, I personally eMailed Frank Eksten and suggested that he could help get the membership behind his new presidency by filling those spots when he took over. He said the BOD had decided not to, since the Bylaws say they "MAY" fill the spots, not that they "MUST" fill them. (BTW, I had a proposed bylaws change to fix that, but since the whole Bylaws are being revamped, we didn't vote on any Bylaw changes).

And, not to be a conspiracy nut or anything, but answer me this. If it's so important for this BOD to fill this position, why didn't they do it back in March 2007 when Rodger promotion created the vacancy?
