I've had a couple of bad experiences with chiropractic - both by chiropractors who are friends!
One of them caused a severe, one-week muscle spasm when she adjusted my back.
The other insisted that it was a good idea for his eighty-year-old personal training client to take creatine. Not only taking it, but taking one 100g jar a day!
Neither seemed to have any better knowledge of anatomy than a typical NSCA CSCS.
I've also heard chiropractors claim that they can treat internal/medical conditions.
I know many people who've had good results from chiropractors, so I guess getting a few referrals is key. Personally, I've found that physical therapists are very good.
