And then I believe Gable demoralized him in the Olympic Trials.
I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Dan Gable on a few occasions. Two guys that I work with wrestled under him at Iowa. When he comes into Los Angeles he stops by our Gym to catch a workout.
Gable is quite remarkable. He is one of the very few individuals in history to be arguably a sports best athlete and coach.
Everybody I have met that wrestled under Gable has been successful after wrestling, either coaching or in business. If you can survive 4 years of that brutality I guess you can do anything you put your mind to.
