Spassov says drugs can give you better technique

In an interview I did with Angel Spassov in the 80s, and he said that stricter drug testing forces weightlifters to use more conventional (i.e., inferior) technique because they cannnot perform enough volume of lifts for the more advanced technique. So, in a sense, drugs can give you better technique.

Regarding baseball, I wonder if other countries are saying that the US dominates in that sport because we have so many drug users?

Another interesting sport is men's soccer. I've read that we have 18 million Americans playing soccer (plus there are scholarship opportunities, pro opportunities, and tens of millions of dollars invested in coaching), but we have yet to win an Olympic medal in men's soccer.
