It's good to be the best

First we say all our best athletes play money sports and if only we could recruit and in greater numbers we'd be world beaters.
Now it seems that we are to believe that on a level playing field our current elite would be medaling regularly.
So our cadre of walk ons and training can go toe to toe with the world if everyone was clean,.. I'd say that's naivety at it's best.
