You were as generous with your time to we three rank beginners in a garage in Mays Landing, NJ, as you were with all the elite lifters you coached.
Your friendly helpfulness, your enthusiasm for this sport, and how clear it was that you really cared about those of us you were there for, with your time and energy, is something I have never forgotten, these almost 30 years later.
