Alex, the "arm pulling" comments made by others IS CORRECT: Not good. Shemansky was an arm puller; But, as Butch Toth said to me "He's Shemansky"!!! You Stop That..Note: Pulling with STRIGHT ARMS & WRISTS(as links to the whole body which is stronger than the arms) might "feel" as though you are leaving something out of pulling..But, In Correct Pulling there is a "Second Pull": Bar above the top of the thighs, then the Entire Body THRUSTING STRIGHT UP & That Power is supported and enhanced by the trapezoid muscles. One can't hope to support that Full Body, Quick Power, with BENT ARMS!!! In Olympiclifting that is where lifts are made or lost...So, that is one thing about pulling. The other is: Look at your "lower back" in the videos when squatting it's good. Arched..(toward the front) a must for proper squatting..AND..PULLING!!!Arch your lower back when pulling, like when you squat. You are pulling with what Olympic Lifters call "A rounded Back"..You must I.D. thees "Proper Feelings". You should then strive to gain confidence for technique & build strength & power "Within It"...
