Just got off the phone talking with Smitty. Today Smitty turns a young 83. He sounded his usual witty self telling me that he will be going to the AOBS Banquet wearing a new jersey instead of a used one.
I told him it being a "Garden State" I would be bring a garden with me in the back of my truck and we can have some fresh veggies whenever.
I told him I would post this message and other readers of the forum would post a birthday message to him so Millie could bring it up for him to see on her computer.
Smitty was my right hand man when I was competing and has attributed so much in helping coaching, training many other lifters of the past. He sure knew what it took to get a lifter fired up and be more productive with their training and competing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SMITTY! WE ALL LOVE YOU!
