Looks like it was a barn burner in the supers.
- Scerbathis came up with a good come-from-behind performance to win. He's been one of my favorites for a long time and he's still out there kicking ass at 33 years old. He reminds me of Nerlinger back in the 80s-90s; never the guy to win the gold at the Worlds or Olympics, but always dangerous and consistently one of the best lifters in the world. Nadjek is getting pretty old too, and is still up at the top of the pile.
- Klescez from Poland really impressed me when I saw him lift at the 2003 Worlds in Vancouver. Very solid, compact lifter with terrific technique. He looked to me like a guy who could be a 200/250 player in the future.
- Looks like the Greeks have a big stud. I don't think they've had a really good SHW since Pavlos Saltisidis back in the 90s. This new guy has big lifts, maybe much bigger in the future?
