Apples Mac Book Laptop

I just purchased this laptop, The Apples Mac Book. Do any of you computer savy posters have this type of computer ? Kinda different for me and the son, We are used to our old Toshiba laptop and HP Desk top. I heard from a few of my college mates that this new Apple is tough to learn. Something called vista is installed and is supposedly top dog in the computer industry. I have 14 days to return it and then may purchase the dell that was also very nice. This model ran me around 1,500$. Any helpful opinions or comments would be appreciated.
