1. I have said I am unaware of anyone in our Weightlifting Family with a Sports Administration/Marketing, etc. background. If Megan is correct and there are "several MBAs in our membership and some with sports administration experience", I HOPE THEY APPLIED AND ONE OF THEM GETS THE JOB. I don't want an outsider per se. I want an EXPERIENCED ED, with a proven track record, whether they be one of ours or from the outside. And your concern that "that outsiders have no reason to invest the time, ENERGY, and money to get involved that deeply" is unfounded. A true professional will invest the time necessary to get the job done PROPERLY! George Greenway,. probably the best ED we've had was a complete outsider, that did put in the time.
2. And I've got to laugh at your repeated request for a list. IF YOU WOULD ONLY READ MY LAST REPLY, YOU WOULD'VE NOTICED I SAID:
"As far as your specific comparisons, I'd have to check some data on that as I don't have that info memorized or even at my finger tips."
Now, maybe the wording "specific comparisons" through you. But this Forum runs in a thread and in your post above it, you asked:
"Maybe you can give me 3-5 sports where:
1. - The majority or entirety of the BOD are people not involved in the sport.
2. Their BOD acts roughly in the same kind of capacity as ours.
Out of the 3-5 you list (hopefully more than 5), I will see if I know anybody in their sports I can contact. Do their BOD go to national meets and know people at the grassroots level?"As I said it will take a while.
