Thanks for that clarification. I said you were on the BOD that hired him and you more than confirmed that by saying you voted for him!

"You think that Wes, with his 3 years+ of experience, will do a bang-up job at USOC. I am not as sure."

NO, I never said that. I said:

"Had USAW hired him after 3 or more years at the USOC, they would've trained him for the job. Instead, it looks USAW may have trained him for their job."

I'm sorry, I forgot to end it with a ;) (WINK). I do believe he's got a lot to learn. But also believe the USOC will make sure he learns it (unlike the seemingly many excuses USAW made for him) or he won't be there for long.

I don't remember you asking for a list of 10+ businessmen (wasn't it "Non Coaches"?). But let me answer your question this way. Other NGBs have these types of people. The Amateur Sports Act forbids someone from being on the Board of more than 1 Olympic/Pan Am Sport, so we couldn't use them. BUT they have friends that serve on other Boards with them that would love to get involved wit the Olympic Movement. Certainly, that's one resource that could be tapped for possible candidates.

And your assumption is wrong. I can't think of any votes I regretted!

BUTCH!
