Gio, I have had a similar history. I have read that almost everyone over age 40 has some degeneration of the disks. This is whether you train or not. We have all heard the story of the guy who stepped off the curb the wrong way or reached for something and spasmed his back. You might as well do something you love and pay the same price. It is all part of being an upright animal. The spine was meant to last the lifetime of folks who lived in more brutish times and who checked out at 40-50 years of age. If you want to live longer, you will have some problems. The reverse hyper keeps me squatting and pulling. Warm up strict and when you are ready to go, swing it hard. The theory is that it forces the disk spaces open and pumps blood into them. If you are hurting, take it easy. This is all anecdotal advice. Your experience may be different. Proceed accordingly and use common sense!
