Flat back good mornings would be more valid as a change of pace from Romanian Deadlifts. It is not comparable to reverse hypers, nor are regular hypers. Reverse hypers AND regular hypers are a good rehab combination for the lower back. Once you are OK, you may load up some weights and work them hard once in awhile for variety.
