The Men's Team Head Coach is Paul Fleschler and he won at least two National Championships and medaled in 3 or 4 more. His best lifts at about 90 kilos body weight were in the neighborhood of 155 and 190.
And as I said, I don't think it is necesarry to have been a great lifter to be a good coach. The same goes for many sports where most good coaches (Bill Parcells, Bill Cowher, John Madden were average players at best).
Denis Snethen, Pete Roselli and a number of others I could name were never great lifters but are excellent coaches.
Rich, I'm not trying to start an argument, I think that maybe you were just piling on anyone who has anything to do with the OTC (a favorite pastime of forum posters) and I felt compelled to respond. I'm glad you're back both lifting and posting again. And kudos on spelling everything correctly in your response to me
