MEN's 94

I was in this class so I didn't catch all of the lifting. I do know that Matt Devine was first with around 330 total, followed by Ben Overcamp, then Trey Goodwin. I believe Matt cleaned 188 with a close miss on the jerk. James Sansom bombed with 135 snatch.

MEN's 105

1. Gump 155/188
2. Gibbs 155/185
3. Moser 150/175

Shankle bombed with 163 snatch. He made 190 jerk then tried 205 and missed the clean.

Moser set a schoolage record in snatch (and total) with 150. He tried snatching 160 twice and the second was pretty close. On the jerk, he jumped to 182 on his second for more records. He missed the clean then came back following himself and made a very tough clean followed by a very tough jerk. It looked like a good lift to me but was turned down 2 to 1. Some people were yelling and upset that it was a bad call. James was really pissed and showed it with some foul language. I don't know who the youngest person is to C&J 400. I'm pretty sure James was the youngest to snatch 300.

WOMEN's 105+

Sorry don't have much results here but Cheryl won with 108/132 and Vargas was very strong in second with something like 98/130. I don't know if Cheryl is nursing injuries or what but I hope she hasn't caught the Hamman syndrome. I saw probably 100 lifters compete over the weekend, 99 of them gave their all, and one lifted at about 85%.

I also must say that coach Burgener is an excellent announcer; knew backgrounds of lifters, gave lifting pointers and encouragement, got the crowd into it, etc. When Wes announced, he looked pretty bored, speaking in monotone and yawning while some of our country's best lifters took their attempts.

Good weekend overall, congrats to all lifters and coaches!
