Scott, I was there too! I worked out at World Gym East in Hamden from 1981 to 1985. I then moved to the Branford facility when it opened. I was in my early 20's and I remember training at times with the wrestlers in Hamden. I saw Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson both bench over 500 pounds one morning. It was so cool and inspiring. I now work out at a Planet Fitness in Branford and its a whole other world. Its sad.
