Now it has become better lifting through better gear and selecting a federation with the sloppiest rules. Any numbskull can go to Tennessee and do a half squat and get way up in the rankings.
Regardless of the steroid controversey, old time lifters could perform lifts properly. Now it is more like bodybuilding....the squat has become the "sissy" squat.
