I'm responding to this forum subject not to bash anyone, i just want to say that like others i have been involved with Gus for many years( since the world record breaker days in hawaii), and have witnessed many of his tirades. these have been at meets as well as in the gym.
While Gus can be an imposing figure at times when you talk to the man face to face and after heads have cooled some, he can be very resonable and responsive to others input.
I personally would like to thank voulunteers such as yourself and the many others who show up at the many meets across the nation and here in Hawaii, for everything that you do and provide. Without the support of such people such contest as the worlds and local state or national meets would not be run as smoothly or as effective, after all like it's been stated many times everyone provides their time for the joy of our sport and for the support of our fellow lifters.
I hope you and Gus can come to a resolve on this and hope to see you again at one of the meets in the future, good luck to everyone at the worlds and be safe,
