Powerlifting should be in the Olympics...

So I was kicking this around since reading Jesse Israel's post (http://goheavy.com/forums/debate/index.cgi/noframes/read/168843) from about 2 weeks ago.
We all want more exposure and/or recognition of our efforts in this sport whether it's lifting, judging, or being an administrator. I think we can all agree that we would like to see the sport grow from where it is now. The Olympics is a big sports festival with big time coverage. Even if powerlifting got alittle coverage, it would do wonders to drive more athletes to our sport. An influx of new lifters and everything that comes with that can be used to build up the sport. The additional exposure can create additional oppurtunities to get sponsorships for competitors and meet directors. A meet director with a bigger budget can put on a better competition when it comes to venues, equipment, and awards. When our quality of competitions and competitors goes up, our popularity can rise which in turn builds up the sport. I'd love to answer the question every powerlifter gets, "So are you gonna do the Olympics?" with a resounding "Hell yeah!". The Olympics would provide our sport with another big competition to see our best athletes go head to head. Watching those kinds of competitions are exciting and motivating.
While this move would be a benefit to the sport as a whole, there are several people who would stand to loose. Whichever version of powerlifting got picked up, the other versions would be dealt a blow. It would be very interesting to see how this played out.
