James Campbell posted what his lifts were at the meet and the fact they were records in the meet fed.Is this what is getting under your skin? I dont believe he posted,"I am a world champion equal to the accomplishments of Ed Coan,Mike Bridges,Larry Pacifico etc...".I also find annoying every Joe/Jane Blow lifter feeling the need to stroke his/her ego and post gym lifts on YOUTUBE.But that is his/her right to do so regardless how I feel.I have enjoyed responding and posting comments with you on other topics on occassion but I have to agree to disagree with you here.The powerlifting world is never returning to a one or two federation sport where records would have a more significant meaning as they once did.Coupled with the fact that the rules are interpreted differently today from meet to meet even within the "main" federations like the USAPL,APF/IPA then they were 15 or more years ago when Coan,Bridges and Pacifico reigned, and the equipment changes,I am not so sure records would take on any more significance with just one or two federations anyway.
