Lester: I never said I was the "appointed spokesperson for Kirk Stroud". Contrary to what you've written, Kirk has known me for about twelve years, and the last six I've worked with him continously in Texas High School powerlifting. He knows me VERY well, and I visit him and his gym often.
Secondly, I had judged the contest at the Ronnie Coleman Classic the week before, and two weeks before that, I was at the TX High School Boys State Championships in Abilene. Kirk and Samm were both there, as was Tom North. It was about a ten hour day, give or take, not including the drive to and from the venue. Didn't see you there at either event, or at any of the other HS events from January onward.
Sorry I wasn't there for your event, but after traveling to those and other events as well as other events in the area, I felt like the need to repair my fence and be with my wife and family for a weekend was more important than traveling to Plano that weekend.
This was in addition to working a full time job with duties to cover during the week and weekend.
I did e mail Ernie (who knows me VERY well)previously to let him know I might or might not be there to say hello. Seems to me he understood. You may ask him-please Cc me his response.
I was just wanting to see the results of the meet. I've known Mendy for awhile (nice guy) and wanted to see the results of them meet since it was in the D/FW area, and we were told the results would be posted quickly. Only thing I'd seen is Mendy getting bashed, which is uncalled for.
I'll pass on loading for the next meet; however, please feel free to come on down for the next Metroflex meet and lift or load, or even spectate while enjoying some wild game meet that Brian has hunted. Remember, proceeds go the Open Door Ministries. Spotters, loaders, and workers don't get paid, or ask to get paid-It's all for a good cause and we enjoy the camarderie.
I have no beef with you; but I have for YEARS posted as "jim v", and Tony Cardella and the other webmasters have had no problem with it. Just wanted to know what happened in NE Dallas/FW, that's it. Kirk, Samm, Tom, and the rest of the "crew" at the gym know me very well. If there is any doubt, please ask them. I'll be there this week and tell them to let you know anything.
Hope your health gets better. That is the last I'll ask of the meet. As for loading, I'll pass, thank you.
