It is my goal to bring as many ,if not all of our current Bench and Deadlift American and World Record holders together at one Meet, the AAU World Bench, Deadlift and Pushpull Championships Dec 6-7 in Laughlin Nevada.
Additionall we would like to see other great benchers/deadlifters compete against the AAU's finest. Those who are already AAU qualified or will be by 10/20 will be given priority. Additional slots are being made available for worthy candidates based on the criteria below. They will be either required to committ/enter earlier or obtain AAU meet qualification.
THUS
If you are already AAU qualified for this year, or will qualify via an AAU mmet by the Oct 20 entry Dedadline you are set. 250 USA slots are reserved for these lifters. You must simply enter by the 10/20 deadline. We will increase these slots for qualified lifters as necessary as to ensure that no AAU qualified lifter is turned away by those selected via other options, as long as the AAU qualified lifter meets the 10/20 deadline.
If you are a current AAU record holder and are unable to get to a qualifier this year (for a legit reason such as medical or no AAU qualifier within 500 mile) please contact me at martin.j.drake@boeing.com ASAP. You will be put on the acceptance list, HOWEVER you must enter (one class minimum)by September 20. The balance of your entry must be received by 10/20/2008 There are 100 such slots available.
If you are a American record holder in other orgs. and drug free, and your record(s) are within 10% (or exceed) of the current applicable AAU record, you may also contact me ASAP and be put on an acceptance list. Again you must enter (one class minimum)by August 30. The balance of your entry must be received by 10/20/2008 There are 50 such slots available.
If you are a disabled lifter, qualifying is waived.
Non USA lifters need not qualify.
