Willie,

I understand there is a problem with getting the weight down. However, the bombing out on all three of you attempts comes down to what James Campbell stated.

1) Starting too heavy
2) Starting too heavy
3) Starting too heavy.

That takes us back to the lfiter's ego overloading his ass. Even you acknowledged that, "Yes I agree that ego is the cause of a lot of bomb outs, but that is not what I was debating." So, we agree on that issue.

Mendlesson is an great bencher. Scot is a smart lifter as well.

However, "He didnt get that strong by being stupid" infers that athletes are smart. There are an abundance of stupid ones.

Let me redefine my stupid referece to his continueous poor attemt choices. I guess the mentality is if you can't hit a home run, it better to strike out...going down swing for the fence.

That is certainly one philosophical of how to lift, live, etc. It is neither right nor wrong, just different.
