As I stated in my previous post, it what you finish with that counts, not what you start with.

Lifting at a meet that you are unprepared for (not shirt, tired and trying to open at that close to your best max), is a formula for failure...which his bombing out demonstrates.

I serousely doubt that he almost "nailed it." It "nailed him" probably closer to the truth.
