Dear Coaches, Students and/or Invitees:

Our facility, along with the United States Powerlifting Federation, will hold its first official closed OHIO VALLEY Powerlifting competition. Our mission is to introduce the sport to all Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Schools (OVAC Schools), with the goal of making it an official OVAC event. Safety issues and rules of performance witnessed in past local similar competitions have created foreseeable safety risks and improper judging.

The sport is rapidly growing in high school arenas nationwide. This is a sport every student can participate in creating comradely networking with students; health benefits, self esteem, strength and enhances every school function from Cheerleading to Football. We are told the State of Texas has over 15,000 registered High School powerlifters. We encourage you to do an internet search for Texas High School Power Lifting Association (www.thspa.org).

Students, Coaches, Handlers and spectators will have an enjoyable day poolside at Mountaineer Sports Training Complex. The Sports Complex is independent of the Casino and will be an official sponsor. Call us for any question you may have.
