Shoot me your email (or post it) and I can put you in touch with a good immigration attorney. I also went through this process but my wife stayed until she received her permanant resident status. You really need a qualified attorney to help and there aren't many qualified in immigration. I am an attorney but use separate counsel for immigration issues because of all of the red tape involved. I hate to see this happen. This process can be brutal.
