To whom can help me with this desperate situation.
My wife is a Finnish woman and isn't being allowed back in the U.S. I am desperate and don't know what else to do. My name is Anthony Frank Caminita III and my wife is Liisa Maija Penttinen.
I met my current wife in 2005 in Finland. I was representing the United States in a Pro-Powerlifting competition. I traveled to Finland some 7 times in the next 2.5 years and her here 8 times. We realized we wanted to get married. I contacted USCIS and asked what was the next step. I was told I must apply for a K-1 visa (a marriage visa) which I did. It was granted last October. She came in the Unite States and we were wed at my parents house in December. At that time USCIS told me I must apply for a I-485 (change of status to a Perminate Resident), a I-765 (application for employment) and a I-131 (application for a travel document). I paid the $1500.00 dollars and submitted the forms. While waiting for the documents to return, my wife's 92 year old grandmother became ill suffering from a stroke. My wife wanted to travel to Finland to see her grandmother incase she was to die. I then called USCIS to see the status of the travel document. I was told she can travel to Finland but will not be allowed to return to the United States until I receive the travel document. I was told her leaving the U.S. would not effect her application. My wife then traveled to Finland this past April and would return when I receive the document in which I would mail to her.
I finally received her paperwork yesterday which was all denied. The reason she was denied is because she left the country. Keep in mind, USCIS told me it would be ok and that is why she departed. As of now, our case is denied and is no longer pending. I have lost my $1500.00 dollars and even worse my spouse is out of the country and can't return. It states on these papers there is no appeal to this decision. I have been living this long distance relationship for 2.5 years. How many more years do I need to wait on our system of goverment to allow me to start living with my wife. Our case number is MSC 08 144 22513, MSC 08 144 22515, and MSC 08 144 22516. Can you please, please help me. I have no where else to turn. I have lost faith in our system of goverment. Can you restore my faith. My wife is an educated person and she is also a world champion powerlifter. She is a physical therapist and to make matters worse has transfered all her assets (including selling her home) into cash and placed them in a U.S. bank. We are talking over $200,000.00 dollars in which she doesn't have access too. I am a Respiratory Therapist but now I teach and sell Critical Care Ventilators. We are professionals, good citizens and are in desperate need of assistance. Please let me know if you can do anything at all to assist me with this desperate situation.Sincerely,
Frank Caminita
