Land of the free..Right. My immigration nightmare

I am so pissed off at the present. As many of you are aware in 2005 I met a finnish woman Liisa Penttinen at the WPO finals. After dating for a couple of years and ten of thousands of dollars later in travel expenses we dediced to get married. I applied for and was granted a K-1 visa (marriage visa). She came into the country in October and we were married in December. After getting married I filed forms I-485 (adjustment of status to that of a perminate resident) along with many others including a travel document (a document with allow her to travel outside the U.S). Upon waiting to hear word her 92 grandmother became ill suffering from a stroke. At that time I called USCIS (immigration) and asked if she could travel to Finland to see her grandmother. I WAS TOLD SHE COULD TRAVEL WITHOUT THE DOCUMENT BUT SHE WOULDN'T BE ALLOWED BACK IN THE COUNTRY WITHOUT THE TRAVELING PERMIT. I WAS ALSO TOLD IT WOULDN'T AFFECT HER APPLICATION. WELL GUESS WHAT, IT DID. As of now her application is denied because she left the country. So as of now, my wife is stuck in Finland.
So you think this is a free country because I don't anymore. I feel like I am living in a communist country. Keep in mind she is from Finland which is part of European Union which means we can travel to each others country's without a visa. A passport is all that is needed. So in summary, ya have to ask permission to marry a foreiner, which they can approve or deny, then you have to get married, then they can't leave the country all while they can't work either. It cost me 1500 dollars to process the application and all I got was a fat no (based on what I was told was ok) and get this, there is no appeal to this decision. Gotta love the old land of the free bullshit...
IT IS NO WONDER ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS SUCH A BIG PROBLEM. HOW CAN SOMEONE IMMIGRATE HER LEGALLY. THE ANSWER IS YOU CAN'T. The best part is I still get to pay my 45 thousand dollars of federal income tax to keep our goverment going strong. But I guess I should be grateful to be an American. I just assume immigrate to Finland because it is much, much easier.
