Hi recently i started speed Bench days using bands i used the monster minis i also have minis i used the monsters and doubled each end of the bands around the bar I used 55% of my raw max bench which came to 308lbs of weight and then the bands well my question is this when i doubled the bands with the weight not only was i coming up slow with the weight but i also felt pain in my tendon area right between the tendon and chest muscle my question is does it matter how you set up the bands as i found i had to set the bands up with one loop instead of doubling each end and when i just wrapped the bands around the bar once all of a sudden the weight is flying up again and it is a lot less band tension but is it effective to do it this way will you still get the same results as if you doubled each end.
