to discredit a lifter or a team of lifters is to portray them as disgruntled lifters angry because they got beat in competition...This is actually pretty clever because some are buying into this bill of goods...This ploy worked for a while until they came across Terry, a man who puts others before himself, not to mention a good all-around powerlifter, not a one hit bench wonder...Terry and the Top Hogs basically massacred the rest of the NASA lifters; it was a bloodletting..It's true, "Say it like it is"..They certainly could not have been angry about getting beat because they blew everybody out of the water...Especially in total and coefficient.

You know Jamie McDougal mentioned that all this arguing is not getting us anywhere until we come up with solutions. I agree, and there are a couple of options here. The first obvious one, is in the future Rich gives heed to constructive criticism from a lifter and makes appropriate changes (At least meet with the guy and give him his due)...Second, if Rich is unwilling to allow freedom of speech in his federation, and "it's his way or the highway"; somewhat of a dictatorship where the lifters thoughts and opinions are not merited, find another federation that suits your needs.. I find it ironic that Rich used to give us polls on what we thought about issues, such is where the next National meet would be held, and other rules of the organization, but on this subject of drug testing, he didn't want anybody's input. He cultivated this atmosphere of wanting our opinions through internet polling so a lifter could get easily confused that he had a right to talk about other issues as well..Not so, some topics were off limit. I found that out when I got my thread deleted for mentioning how great a guy Terry Tucker is, and when I got banned for merely stating that people needed to look at both sides of the story on this instead of jumping on the Rich Peter's bandwagon.
