I'm in the same boat, did over 90 full meets since April 73. My back is not going to let me lift what I need to be competitive in the squat and deads. I still do them, but not at level I was at. I still love the sport so I particpate by going into the bench portion or bench meets. At 57 it's still fun to go for records, and see all your friends at the meets.
