I lift in meets as a hobby and not to make money. If I was going to invest that kind of money to make money I would do it playing poker. I know I made a hell of a lot more than $75 off of a $1000 investment.
Happen or not the event was still a rip off. All that talk and all that build up for one lousy event. The only one making a living off of pro power events seems to be Double P.

I left nasa on my own in December 2006. In part because I refused to piss all over Martin Drake just because the Double P said I should. The other reason is because I refuse to have someone like Double P try to tell me how to run my life.
