Frantz DL record in sight, but...?

Philippine M1 lifter Eddie Torres, age 43 (?) faces that issue of diminishing returns. Ernie Frantz' IPF M1 100k class DL world record is 345kg. Set in 1981 !! A worthy goal to pursue, no doubt.

Eddie has won the IPF Masters 100kg DL Gold twice, '05 and '07, and holds the Asian record. He hoisted 335kg in a recent meet in Manila. One might say he has only eleven kilos to go. 3.1%

24.2 lbs. No sweat?

But Torres has been lifting steadily over twenty years, coaches a large group of lifters, has a responsible job in marketing with Dow Chemical and family concerns. I know the record is in the back of Eddie's mind, but he has a lot of factors to consider before making a commitment to go for the record.
