Dave, thank you for the response, I ran through it quickly due to time constraints. One major clarification. My several thousands of hours of study were not done due to my doubts, but rather to challenge my own conclusions and those with whom I either agree or whom I have studied under. I was challenged once by an individual who rightly asked me some 30+ years ago if I had reasons to believe what I believed. Meaning have I studied the evidences for belief. I had not at the time so began the "search" as I call it. Along the way I have read a great deal of atheist thought and have a few of their books in my library for ready reference. Point being, I don't just read that with which I agree.
My faith is secure and solid with no doubts whatsoever in the God who created me or the book he saw fit to leave us as a guide. That being said, I will re-read your post in quiet thought and consider your suggestions. I would equally ask the same of you should I suggest a reading for your own reference. In closing, you are absolutely correct, I have no formal education beyond Jr.College. My studies are purely my own foraging attempts and I know it shows.
Congrats on your training efforts and what you are doing in your home with athletes, very commendable. A good friend of mine, Ralph Frugugleitti took first at the masters world track and field in Italy last summer or September, not sure of the date. He had hoped to hit Al Oerder's (sp?) record, but fell short.
