In Response To: yet you'll believe a 2000 yr old book (Scott Slaterly)

Copernicus, Kepler Galileo, Brahe, Descartes, Boyle, Newton, Leibniz, Gassendi, Pascal, Mersenne, Cuvier, Harvey, Dalton, Faraday, Herschel, Joule, Lyell, Lavosier, Priestley, Kelvin, Lhm, Ampere, Stemo, Pasteur, Maxwell, Planck, Mendel. (list obtained from Dinish D'Souza's "What's So Great About Christianity"). Point being, if it weren't for Christianity, the advancement of science over the centuries would be nothing in comparison to where it is today because of it. Suggested reading for you, "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist", Norman Geisler, Frank Turek. You want science? You got it, very scholarly, but comfortable to read. # 2, the book listed above by D'Souza. Check out the endorsement by Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic magazine..."although non-Christians and non-theists may disagree with someof his arguments, we ignore him at our own peril. D'Souza's book takes the debate to a new level. Read it." Mr. Shermer recognizes that to simply call names and make fun of others who arrive at logically presented conclusions that are contrary to his own is a fool's game. If you wish to truly appear educated, perhaps you should try taking the same high road.kw
