I go to Brians now and then. He trains in his garage, and sometimes at the south Charleston high school. I have been around powerlifting for 25 years, and I have never seen no powerlifter do as high a work load as he does. He spends more time streathing outthan most of us do lifting, then he does tons of sets. I ask him one time how many times he gos over 500 on the bench in a week, he said around 200 times! As many sets as he does though I have never, nor has any of his training partners ever seen him struggle. Every rep is explosive from 135 to over 9 in the squat, 700 in the bench, and 800 in the deadlift. He always eats right before he starts. He trains 7 days a week on his powerlifts, and still gets with Phil Phiester a few times a week to practice strongman. The last work out he had before his 2600 pound total he squated 1000, and deadlifted 845 20 minites apart. I went up to his house to hang out on wensday 2 days before the Arnold to wish him luck in the strongman and bench at the arnold and he was getting ready to bench, I asked him how hy. he was going he said oh around 600- 650. I said man get some rest take the day off. He said hell I dont have to bench untill sunday! The man is a freak, a animal. My training partner started lifting with Brian about a year and a half ago and he has really put on some size and has improved his bench a lot. If you ever get the chance to watch Brian train you will see things that will blow your mind, and I dont care who you are. Nobody at westside or anywhere else on this planet does half the workload that he does.
