I don't know what "mean temperature" of the planet means:
Is it the emperature of the air, sea, and land combined? How well can they determine an average like that? To within a few degrees for the whole planet?
Or is it the thermal radiation from the planet taken by satellites? Does that accurately reflect the heat currents in the ocean and the air since both will have different emission spectra?
And even global warming proponents admit that recent ups and downs in the weather are more due to ocean currents, not the long term effect they are trying to prove.
And is it a human effect or does the sun get 1% hotter once in a while?
